Hola,

I have read in the Lynx thread that Durreau already notified (http://reproductormp3.net/index.php?topic=12794.msg159024#msg159024) you about Cheetah XT. At least I won't have to write an intro. :)
Anyway, in this thread I'll post status updates and other news about Cheetah XT - which will soon be renamed to "Cheetah GTX".
I planned to add a music UI to Cheetah XT and noticed that the code doesn't support the g-sensor very well. Thus, I decided to update Cheetah XT's code and soon found out that it will be a longer process. In order to prevent 5 weeks of silence, I split Cheetah to two branches: "XT", which is the current Cheetah XT and is still being worked on, and "GTX", which is the updated Cheetah. Once "GTX" reaches "XT"'s feature set, it will replace "XT" and "Cheetah XT" will be renamed to "Cheetah GTX".
I also created a video to show some improvements I already coded in GTX: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36Kq0IchTjs

Estupendo trabajo :aplaudir:

Development Status:
The following features have to be developed, then Cheetah GTX will replace Cheetah XT:
- Picture Viewer
- Lock Screen
- Standard Theme
The WP7 theme in Cheetah XT was just an experimental theme to test Cheetah's API.
What are the benefits of Cheetah GTX over Cheetah XT?
- Improved performance (Cheetah keeps certain components in the RAM when the UCI is left which shortens the loading time immensely)
- Improved API (error messages, g-sensor support, better theme/app structure,...)
- Small improvements of the UI
- ...
In the long term, Cheetah GTX is in all ways superior to Cheetah XT. It's easier to debug, easier to maintain,... And for third-party developers the API is now very user-friendly which makes creating apps and themes very easy.
Espero con ganas el GTX :lust:
Cheetah GTX will be "The GTX 680 of the UCI´s"
Indeed, it will. (http://iaudiophile.net/forums/images/smilies2/devil.gif)
I like it! :perfect: Thank you Kizune!
REW and FF are switched? In music mode or in radio mode or both?
About the g-sensor, it works fine on the S9 as can be seen in the video WAI posted: http://youtu.be/oh29O53_8gg

no, the REW/FF buttons are switched in the main screen, and only when is on. When the screen turns off works normally...
No, you don't understand. ;)
I mean, are the buttons switched when the player is in music mode (= music is playing in the mainmenu or you can press the play button to start music playback in the mainmenu) or does that only happen when it is in radio mode (= radio is playing while you're in the mainmenu)? Or doesn't that matter?
Ah ok, yes, the buttons are switched in music mode... But only with the screen is on... When the screen is off works normal

That's strange, though, because WAI (as I mentioned, he has an S9, too) didn't report such a problem. Maybe downloading the latest version helps?

@all: Cheetah XT has been replaced by Cheetah GTX: http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showthread.php?t=40910
Saludos!!!
That was a known problem of all builds older than the latest one, but I can proudly tell you that the latest build fixes this bug (which was hell of a task to fix).
